Original Art - Oil Painting - Shells and Storm

Shells and Storm - 20 in. x 24 in. Oil On Canvas

This is a big storm on the Gulf of Mexico from the back deck of the beach house we were staying in late this summer on a family vacation. The wind really had the waves up and the horizontal cloud and storm line was really amazing to see. This island has a lot of shells that wash up with the tides and the row on the window ledge were some that we had collected over the previous day. This painting makes me think of hope... All storms pass and the sun eventually shines again. I hope that you enjoy it.

Original Art - Oil Painting - Cows and Bulls

Cows and Bulls - 30 in. x 40 in. Oil On Canvas

This is a fairly large painting 30in x 40in. When I found these cows (several are bulls) I was actually scouting around for something else, a stream or creek to paint. I was looking on the other side of the road and a large group of young cattle came running up to the fence. It was pretty obvious by the stern look on their faces that they weren't particularly excited to see me personally, it was my pickup truck parked near the gate which I'm certain usually means the food is about to be dropped into the feeders. But even though they weren't all that happy with my faux food delivery they posed very well for the painting I think.

Original Art - Oil Painting - Pears - Green Brown and Red

Pears - 30 in. x 40 in. Oil On Canvas

The subject is six pears of various colors - red, green, and brown.

This is a fairly large painting 30in x 40in. It is always interesting to me to paint larger than life items. Pears have been a favorite subject of mine for doing this.

The setup for this painting was particularly interesting to me because of the lighting and bright colors of the pairs. To me the painting has an element of drama.

Pears - Green Brown and Red is an original oil painting by Steven Allen Boggs. I hope that you enjoy it.

Oil Painting - Hay Bale

Hay Bale 8 in. x 10 in. Oil On Panel

This is a hay bale in a Tennessee farm field near my home. This is a common sight especially in the Fall in a significant part of the country. What attracted me most with the scene was the beige brown colors contrasted against the bright blue autumn sky.

I hope that you enjoy the painting.

Oil Painting - Cinderella Pumpkin and Squash

Cinderella Pumpkin And Squash 8 in. x 10 in. Oil On Panel

The subject is a group of pumpkins and squash.

This is a Cinderella pumpkin that is kind of hard to find where I live. I thought that the setup with all of the other colorful small pumpkins and fall squash made for an interesting color scheme. This painting makes me feel ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

I hope that you enjoy it.
